In January 2011, the U.S. Census Bureau plans to launch a revamped version of its data delivery tool, American FactFinder. The new American FactFinder will offer a new look, new tools and easier access to Census Bureau information.
American FactFinder is the the primary tool used to access 2010 Census data released in early 2011. It also gives users access to other key Census Bureau data sets, including the American Community Survey, Puerto Rico Community Survey, Population Estimates Program, Economic Census and Annual Economic Surveys.
Starting in 2011, data users can search using topics, geographies, population groups and industry codes. The New FactFinder will provide fast search results, enhanced table manipulations and advanced mapping capabilities.
To help you become familiar with accessing data from the new FactFinder in time for the release of 2010 Census data starting next year, we’ve prepared a range of online tools, including a brochure, Virtual Tour and tutorial demonstrating the enhanced features and functions of the new and improved FactFinder.
NOTE: The Census Bureau decomissioned American FactFinder on March 31, 2020.
