Based on input from federal agencies, the Census Bureau identified topics on the American Community Survey (ACS) that may require changes or additions. To evaluate these potential changes, new or modified questions are pretested using cognitive testing methods. As part of the 2022 ACS Content Test, RTI International and Research Support Services Inc. (RSS) conducted cognitive testing of potential questions related to the following topics for the Census Bureau:
For Round 3 of cognitive testing, RTI and RSS conducted 29 cognitive interviews in English with individual currently or recently in group quarters facilities and 60 cognitive interviews in Spanish with individuals in Puerto Rico. This report summarizes the results from this third round of cognitive testing.
