What states have the highest percentage of adults under the age of 40 who have never been married?
Aside from California, most of the states on the list that are havens for never-married men are in the north and east and all of the states on the list that have the highest share of never-married women are in the east. The District of Columbia is tops for the never-married of both sexes.
